What is a vasectomy?

Vasectomy is the minimally invasive in-office procedure for male surgical sterilization. A small break is made in the scrotal skin through which the vas deferens are divided and separated to block the passage of sperm to the ejaculatory ducts. Often this is performed without the use of a scalpel and often the wound is so small that stitches are not even necessary.
