NWA Prostate Cancer Peer Network

Prostate cancer is the most common malignancy in American men. One in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime. While prostate cancer is a very treatable disease if caught early, the diagnosis is nonetheless impactful. This impact is not only felt by the patient but also the spouse, significant other,and other members of the family.

Because of the widespread presence of prostate cancer in the community we at Northwest Arkansas Urology Associates think that it is of utmost importance for prostate cancer survivors and their loved ones to have access to resources that can help them cope with not only the diagnosis of prostate cancer but also the ongoing survival of the disease.

With this in mind Northwest Arkansas Urology is partnering with Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation to start the Northwest Arkansas Prostate Cancer Peer Network.

Our first meeting of the NWA Prostate Cancer Peer Network will be Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Springdale Country Club from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.. The address is 608 W. Lakeview Drive, Springdale.
